Andrea Lang gave a charming Gretel with a strong stage presence which showed itself through vocal technical ability and charisma. She has a lyrical voice with a wide range of expressive possibilities and colours and a beautiful timbre. She masters cheerful, upbeat, carefree scenes on the one hand, and on the other she masters beautiful long lines and wonderfully sung coloraturas. Subtle nuances came to the fore and the voice seems to know no limits.
